Our upholsterers work on your seats and help you pick within a wide range of fabrics.
We also sell a number of seats from every era and every style - please just ask.
The re-making of your seats is done in pure upholstery tradition with 3 different ways possible: traditional upholstery, semi-traditional and foam.
Atelier Millet 1872 tailor makes curtains, blinds, and panel curtains.
First, our quilters make your project and finish it using a machine or hand-made in the fabric you picked.
Then our upholsterer come directly to yours to fix the curtains up your window.
Atelier Millet 1872 makes 2 types of caning: hand-made and industrial, meeting the original way your seats were made in.
Crafted caning is entirely hand-made. We use first class cane of rattan; 4 to 5 hours are needed to make a chair.
Industrial cane is made in a factory, only the pressing is done manually.
First, we remove the old cane from the seat, clean the cavity, then we place a new industrial cane leaf and fix it with a rattan circlip.
Our mulching is entirely hand-made.
We make a 70 meters long strand for chairs, and 150 meters long for armchairs.
4 to 5 hours minimum are needed to make a chair.
You can also pick some colours in your mulching (limited panel and extra fee).
Woodworking is the last of our panel of services, because it is often the common ground in all work on a seat or on a piece of furniture.
If the wood needs repairing, gluing, tinting or simply polishing, our woodworkers work in the matter of arts to rehabilitate your seats.
